We had a successful day today at the Spin a Thon!!!!! We had hundreds of bikers come through starting at 8 am all the way until 4. Sugey did a whole 3 hours on the bikes and Rich did one. We had a bunch of different volunteers and interns with the foundation participate.

The good news is that the initial tallies are in and it looks like the event grossed over 15k! That’s a net of almost $13k, a great amount to help with local families affected by autism. As we get the final numbers we’ll let you know. Also stay tuned for pics from the spin a thon! For now, we’re exhausted and relaxing for the night!

Tomorrow is the Big Day!

Spin a Thon

Spin a Thon

Get ready for the Spin a Thon tomorrow. We helped put some of the bikes in this evening and the F&M soccer team helped bringa in a lot. Thanks guys!

We had to go out and pick up a few items for the Tommy Foundation table. There’s going to be a lot of great things there for sure for the autism community!

Also, if you like to come, you still can! The bikes are full from 12pm – 1pm, but from 1pm – 4pm there are open bikes! So, don’t wait, come on out and get ready to spin for a great cause!

P.S. The address for the Hempfield Rec Center is 950 Church St. Landisville, PA. Check out the map!

It’s a perfect day to head out to the spin-a-thon! You can still come on out! Just e-mail us at info@edgeofautism.com to find out more!

At The F&M Atrium

There’s a Tommy Foundation table this week at the Franklin and Marshall College Steinman Center Atrium. Make sure to stop by so you can get info on the Spin-a-Thon and the Festival and Walk. You can still sign up for the Spin a Thon at the $15 rate until the end of the day today. After today, you just have to show up. I would recommend coming to either the 2-3 or 3-4 slot, as those are still not full. The 12-2 slots may be full, which is great. That’s almost 130 bikes being used! F&M already has the largest contingency of riders and tons of students will be there. Get ready for an awesome event!

Spin a Thon Prizes are Awesome!

Panera Bread You guys won’t believe all the prizes for people at the spin a thon! How about a limited year’s supply of bread from Panera Bread? You have to admit, that’s pretty awesome! How about Leisure Lanes bowling and miniature golf passes? Bowling is open 24 hours, so it’s perfect after a night of partying (when you have one sober person driving) to see who can win!

How about movie passes? More food? Places to go? You guys don’t want to miss this because you can easily win free stuff! That’s pretty sweet for $25, or $15 if you’re a student. Can’t wait to see you there!
